Purpose Matters

One problem I see with average people (even me) is that they don't think about why something is there before they do things. You don't get me? Don't worry, I barely do, too.
Let's say there's a rule saying you weren't supposed to talk in a classroom. (Obviously this is true with 99% of all classes) What's the purpose of this rule? Well, it's to keep the students/people focusing on their work so they can do their best. Teachers often tell kids to stop whispering. Half of the time, the students are trying to help each other while being quiet. That still lets them focus on their work and do their best. So why make them be quiet?
That's a common example. So... you have to put the book back where you found it in a library. You see somebody putting the books in completely different places, even books that he didn't look at. If the rule was to "put it back where you found it", that would be rule breaking. But the rule is supposed to keep the books organized so everyone can easily find the book they're looking for. That guy would have been putting the books in alphabetical order, where they were supposed to be.
Too many people make this mistake. I think that people (like me) should pay attention to what things are supposed to be like.
     Why do I make it seem like it doesn't make any sense in that sentence? Oh well. ;-;

Fail Drawings, Procastination, and Summer School

For the past day or two, I've been trying to get my drawing skill up. It hasn't worked that well. At least they don't look completely like poop....

Yeah. All cat themed. Cats are quite easy to draw, if you know what you're doing. Obviously I don't.
I haven't worked on Wrapped in Sorthas for a week. There are a few reasons. 1) I'm lazy .3. 2) I haven't thought of the rest of the plot 3) I feel my vocabulary isn't enough and 4) I don't feel like I'm on a time limit.
This squishy thing that you normal people call a "brain" has produced some counter reasons. 1) I want to stop being lazy.  2) I don't want to procrastinate 3) There are quite a few published books(some with awards) out there with "low level vocabulary words" and 4) Now I know some of you actually want me to continue sooner.
So I'll try to keep going. Should I do 50 words per day? 100 words per day? Half a chapter? An entire chapter?
Well, I know I can't do an entire chapter in one day. Chapter 2's quality decreased because of that.
So what 3 things do you think of when you hear summer school? Work, math, and hell. I think of archery, volleyball, and stop motion clay animation. Why? It's the first time a school in the district, possibly the county, has made their own program completely from scratch, doing their own things, etc.
Our program is doing clay stop motion animation(as said above), the best and most fun PE activities in school (besides running, we're still running ;-;) and reading a creepy book called Coraline. So far, we've read Chapter 1.
By the way, Coraline is about a girl who lives in part of an old mansion with tons of unexplored rooms and areas of the flat. She walks through a door, where she finds her old house in better quality. But there's another mother and father, and they want to change her and keep her forever. All the reviews I've seen say it's creepy, so I don't want to think about it at 9:20 pm.
Keep having a wonderful summer! :D

Animal Jam Buddy List Bug

Seems funny, hmm? The scroll button doesn't work, and this is the very very veery bottom of my buddy list. I can't scroll up to my online friends. It sort of reminds me of real life. I can't talk to any of my friends because they're offline most of the time. <==YOU SEE NOTHING! It's  the 3rd day of summer, and I'm already bored.

And this reminds me of myself. I'm alone, trapped in a dark cage. Outside is a beautiful world, but there are countless people who can harm me.
Let's ignore the negative stuff. I uploaded a chapter of Wrapped in Sorthas, but I'm a long way from finishing. I also get lazy really easily. So you might not see the second chapter in a while. Plus, I haven't thought up of the rest of the story yet. My friend and I only thought of the main plot. Nothing much.

Wrapped in Sorthas Prologue

Back to Wrapped in Sorthas
Two wolves, one dark purple and the other bright yellow, crept along the walls of the stone ruins. One whispered, "Do you think they're here?" The purple wolf was about to answer when their eyes fully adjusted to the darkness and the path split up into two smaller paths, going either way.
They touched snouts and licked each other before taking the steps through each path.

Summer

Students like me usually look forward to summer. Sure, we have no school, but we're looking forward to 2-3 months of nothingness. Summer usually is really boring, if you ignore the vacations and other events. Anyway, people like me overeat and our appearance... doesn't get better. It all gets fixed when I go to a sport. I really have nothing to do besides play computer games that are getting old and boring. I'm not looking forward to swimming. The only thing that I actually like this summer for is summer school.
Crazy, right? But we can do clay animation projects, read books that are actually interesting, use $700 dollar cameras (world destruction, starting now) and other things. It lasts for most of the summer, leaving a month and a half of free time and the dreaded swimming.
I actually enjoy swimming itself, but I hate having to hold my breath. It leaves sore pains in my nose and ears for a day, and my hair gets dry and stiff from the chlorine. If the weather is right, the pool is brown with sticks and dirt.
Right now, I'm working on Wrapped in Sorthas's chapter 1. My friend is working on Blood Battle Royale, however it's called. So don't be surprised if you don't see me posting that much.

Wrapped in Sorthas Chapter 1: Ripples

Back to Wrapped in Sorthas
Back to Prologue
"...As the ancient shadow lord came to his end, the great sun lord Solarius slayed the dark god, Scornis, with his razor sharp fangs. The age of darkness dissolved to let out a burst of sunshine."
"We already heard that story a thousand times, Ash," I said, lying paws out on the cave floor. "Shush Eclipse! Ash, tell us the rest!" exclaimed a giddy Solaris.
My sister, Solaris, is a moon wolf while I, Eclipse, am a sun wolf. Asher, a family friend, had a daughter that went missing. A year ago, Mom and Dad set off trying to find her.
     They never came back.
Asher playfully bared his teeth at my sister "You want to hear the story? Get through Eclipse's claws first." Solarius backed away and said, "Ash! You know how much better Eclipse is at playfights. And stop joking, just tell us the rest of the story."
Asher is our caretaker. We call him Ash. Before they left, my parents let him take care of us. He's been our caretaker ever since.
Ash smiled. "According to the tales, Scornis is dead. But legends say that the true darkness lurks in all of us, in the world, growing before we know it." Solarius exhaled and lay down on her side. "That story never gets old." I barked, "It's just an old kit's tale, Solarius. Shadows are shadows." My cousin perked up, "But shadows are the silhouette of objects that block the-" I interrupted, "Who cares about that? You're such a nerd."
We heard a barking of a fox just above our little cave. "Ah, that means dinner is ready. I'll grab the meat before the fox grabs it so you little jaws can eat." Ash went around the corner of the cave to grab the meat heating up in the sunshine coming from the hole in the roof. As far as we know, Asher is the only wolf to have heated meat this way.
I whispered, "Hey Sol, let's go explore Ash's study while he grabs the meat!" My cousin stepped back. "Are you even thinking about what will happen if we get caught?!" I pawed her shoulder, "Hey, come on! There might be a bunch of kit tales and all that nerdy stuff on leaves for you to read..." Solarius reluctantly stepped forward. "Fine... but only just a peek!"
I poked my bright white snout into the crack leading into Asher's study. It was just a hole in the wall, with a massive boulder blocking the entrance. Since no rock is perfect, there are narrow crevices where you can go in.
I creeped inside. Tiny holes in the ceiling let down light upon the mysterious study. My eyes adjusted to the light and slowly but surely... something was appearing... whatever that something is...
     It was a rock.
The rock was flat and slanted on the top, with the lower part closer to you. There were 2 little "horns" sticking out of the rock. I assume that's where Ash keeps the leaves with these things called "words". Next to the rock, there was a stack of huge papyrus leaves.
We wolves discovered "papyrus", a type of leaf where you can indent words with your claws to make "sentences". It doesn't make sense to me, since this is the first time I've seen them with my own eyes.
Underneath the huge rock, there was something resembling a leaf made of rock...
The overwhelming scent of meat flowed to my nose. It smelled so good... and juicy... I raced to the crevice in the wall, where Solaris was waiting for me. We ran for our sane lives to the spot where we were before. There, we waited for Bay to come back with the hot meat in his jaws.
Nothing. We waited for what seemed like forever, until I drifted to sleep..
"Wake up!" howled a more-than-awake older sister. "It's already sundown, and Baykar still hasn't come back."
"Waaa..? I hud dis drem about eatin' fluffy cloud foxes..." I yawned a 4 inch yawn, one of my new records. Then my eyes flew open. I howled, "Meeeeeaaaaaaaatttttttttt!" and ran towards the corner to the food warming place.
I risked a peek and saw... nothing. The meat was gone, and all was empty except for a puddle sitting in the corner.
This corner was strangely darker than the rest of the cave, despite the few light sources. I looked in and saw a moon wolf staring at me, with deep red eyes. I jumped back, bumping Solaris into the wall with an "Oof!". I creeped back towards the puddle and a ripple waded across the surface of the puddle. The wolf image morphed into two wolves, one moon and one sun. They were both in separate places, secluded from the other. Both of them seemed lifeless. Black steam flowed around them.
Solaris looked past my shoulder at the puddle. We both stared in shock at our parents, their consciousness breathed out of them.

Story Organization

As you probably saw, there were posts labeled "Adventure" and "Wrapped in Sorthas". Those are part of an organizing system that I'm making. There is a group of links of genres, with groups of links for stories, with links to the individual chapters. Ignore those posts. My friend and I are working on two stories, Wrapped in Sorthas and Blood Battle Royale. You can also submit stories in another post I'm making. Short post, short day. Bai!

Forever Alone Together Alone

There's nobody who reads this... Forever alone together with my friends... Alone...
Fortunately, there's something called advertising. Sadly, if I advertise in a place with people who have similar interests, it's probably a place where people so rudely comment on your comment, ignoring a person's pleas for recognition. Everyone deserves to be recognized for the things that they do. Right now, all I'm doing is talking about my thoughts and life, but I hope to progress out of the box and out the cooking pan and not into the fire. :) I remember being greedy for views in my last blog, but who wouldn't want to be appreciated? I wish that I could become a little more open and silly like I was before. I seem to have become rusty after a while. >.< Oh, nostalgia. If, somehow, any of my friends from years ago are reading this, thanks for being there, katara, MangoShapedSpace, Ooblueberry, mrspider. There are lots more, but I remember these people and they have done a great deal in my life. Thank you <3 God, it sounds like I'm saying these with my last breath. Thankfully I'm not. Besides my thoughts, I have nothing else to talk about. If anyone is reading this, what do you think I should talk about daily?

What I do

There's always a day when you have absolutely nothing to do. This is one of those days.
Okay, scratch that. I do have things to do, but it's just too hot to do anything. It's one of the first weeks of summer, and I still have school. I'm sweating and my laptop is heating up. What do I do?

  • Go in my bed and snuggle in my cool, fluffy pillows for 5 minutes
  • Type in this blog
  • Play app games on my iPad in a cool, secluded area of my house
  • Chill. With Italian ice. -3-
  • Anything else that I couldn't think of while writing this entry because I was too lazy
Yeah. Basic things. The sofas in my house are so squishy, every time I sit down, 10 minutes later I'm found in a sleeping position, head up and facing whatever I'm looking at.
Have you ever had a situation where you lie down for a long time without sleeping, and then when you get up, you're blinded by some brown and yellow patches? It happens to me every time I'm on the sofa for at least 3 hours. It's annoying, too. It's probably bad for me, but it happens so much it doesn't really matter.
Talking about random things because I have absolutely nothing else to talk/think about, so yeeah. Bai.

School 'n stuff

Right now, I'm at my middle school, chillin'. One of my periods (not that, fyi) lets us go on Chromebooks and play games. Usually, we search answers to answer questions on a worksheet, but today we're just fooling around. I don't really have much time, because lunch is coming up soon. I'm going to an ice cream social for Allstars at our school.
Allstars are people who get 8-10 signatures, each signature for an achievement like getting Student of the Month. The thing is, my locker is on the other side of the room where we'll have our ice cream social. I keep my lunch in my locker. I have two choices, eat lunch and ice cream, or eat ice cream and lunch. Baii!!
———————Break between school and home————————————————————
Anyway, if I eat my lunch first and then eat ice cream, all the good flavors would run out. But, the flavor would stay in my mouth, not hidden by anything. If I eat ice cream first, I will be able to get the good flavors. The flavor would then be hidden by the lunch I would eat.
Being the type of person that would go for temporary pleasure, I ate the ice cream first. -3-

Persistance and Logic

I just recently tried to play a game on a Minecraft server that required 60 people. And those people had to be donator ranks, so only a few people could join. Well, I was one of those donator ranks (Ultra and Hero) and I'm so irritated at some people. Excuse the hostility from this blog, but this is what comes from rants. Please don't yell at me to go spew my words in another trash can. These are just my thoughts.
Okay, so there are 60 people in a game. The game starts and ends. After the game, 20 people immediately leave. I don't get it. Do they purposely want to delay our game hours, days, or even weeks? Because a game's purpose is for people to have fun. Why leave? Why miss out on a chance for fun?
The second thing is that the more people leave, the more people yell at other people to not leave and what a bunch of idiots they are. Of course, hostility just makes people want to leave. So naturally, more people leave. That triggers more hostility and yada yada.
Anyway, the well meaning people leave to advertise. Ultras and Heroes are very common on the Minecraft server, so nobody's going to listen to a regular old person just advertising like those highly enthusiastic advertisers on TV. Once, a Moderator and a few Helpers join the game. They try to help us and advertise. Naturally, being the self-obsessed humans (not all people, don't worry I <3 you guys, if there are any reading this) they are, they join because "Ooh, it's a Mod! Let's join!" and "A moderator? This game actually might be worth it." They help us for about 3 games, and then they have to leave. This puts us at the 10 people level.
One of the worst things about this (no disgusting self obsessed humans included) is that it's a beta testing game. Which means it's limited to only donators. The 60-person game is such a good game, they should release it. And if they released it, impatient unranked people join like there's no tomorrow. Then, it would fuel hundreds of games in a row, even if its 2:00 a.m. for 20% of the world.
Even if my rants spark a thought about me being a super negative person, I'm not. All rants are like this, and I'm posting these rants because I want people to realize and think about the things in the situation. Thanks for reading! =(^.3.^)=/

Little Rants

Pet peeves... they're the biggest pet peeves of your pet peeve life. Why do they call them pet peeves anyway? I have no idea. Maybe because back when the term "pet peeves" didn't exist, people were annoyed by pets and called the annoying things "pet peeves". Is there a reason why it can't happen?
Anyway, one thing that I find commonly said in middle school is the phrase,"No one cares." People say that because a) They want the speaker to shut up or b) It's a useless piece of information nobody needs. Say, someone just said,"Dust is cool". Even so, it's an even ruder way to say shut up. Even if it's a useless piece of info, it's not right to rudely say that. It might seem to elders and younger people that I'm "not old enough" to say that, or I'm stupid, or they might say,"Deal with it, motherf***er." Yeah, expect a few bad words that are censored. Don't worry, I would never mean it even if I say it.
Just a quick little rant, let me know what you think. I want to know who's with me.

True Introduction

Haha, silly mistake. I didn't introduce myself formally to you guys. Anyway, that last post (first...?) was just me voicing my inner thoughts at the time... I have no intention on editing it. Anyway, should I change "The Fox Den" to "Lemon Haven"? My main usernames for games and stuff aren't exactly... formal. I still have trouble trying to find a cool username that I can stick with, and fits my personality and likes. Anyway, everything else in this post is the introduction(hopefully).
I'll be a bit protective over my private info, (name, age, other stuff like that) but the main detail about me is that I. Love. Gaming. It's what I look forward to every weekend. Nothing (except food :D) is better. Well, I may be exaggerating that a little bit (just a little bit, right?). I have made (probably) hundreds of friends, most of which left me (definitely not the opposite. yup. definitely not the opposite.). If I did leave them, it was because we were not being very interactive with each other and forgot everything about each other. Happy times, happy times.
Now let's actually get onto the real stuff! Watch this become another long paragraph where I just voice my thoughts. Hint hint, italics are thoughts (in this blog)unless common sense drives you to think that this is something that is normally italicized, like poems. My favorite color is icy blue. I enjoy eating food like ramen, soup, spaghetti, and often chips and other junk food, like any other young adolescent, however you spell it. I play Transformice, Minecraft, and app games on my iPad like Bloons TD5. I used to play Animal Jam, but I quit. I stopped playing League of Legends because I was being pressured by my brother and other outside things. My personality is like a chameleon/octopus, constantly changing to the environment. I'm cheerful when other people are chirpy. I'm chirpy when other people are cheerful. I'm empathetic/sympathetic when other people are sad. I try to make things the best that I can, but when people become my (verbal) enemy, I talk back in a (hopefully) mature fashion that makes others think I'm an adult... Worst of all, I talk like a pervert when I'm talking to a pervert. Yeah. But that last one doesn't happen much, unless I'm super friendly/familiar with the person.
Anyway, hope you enjoy what I've done so far. Here's a picture of me.

Welcome... me?

It's crazy... I remember years ago when I tried to make a blog purely for the popularity and sort of for the fun, but of course, it didn't turn out well. It was a little obvious, but I was doing it on my iPad, which of course has limited possibilities on Blogger. I'm not sure whether I want this to be my public or private "journal"-ish blog... Doesn't matter. Lemon Haven is an interesting name for a blog that has nothing to do with lemons or havens (for me, if it becomes my private blog). It just sounds nice and pleasant. The sweet(not really) taste of lemons makes my mouth water... Anyway, I can't really put any of my secrets in here because I haven't decided whether to make this public or private... Check back on you (few) viewers later. :)
